CSS Statements
  • Tag or ID, Class (optional), Formatting
  • Selector.Name {Declaration}
  • Grouping Selectors (comma separated)
  • Grouping Declaration Properties (semi-colon separated)
  • BODY->DIV->Paragraph Example
Contextual Selectors
  • BODY->DIV->P.MyStyle Example
  • Parent overrules child
  • !IMPORTANT explicit tag recognized by sort
  • Styles listed or IMPORTED in <HEAD> followed by order listed
  • Styles IMPORTED overruled by inline declarations
  • More specific CSS overrule more general CSS statements
  • Two identical styles are referenced, last reference overrides other
Multiple Classes for a Single Element
