What XLR8UH does for Hawaii’s Future

It is very interesting that three of the ten finalists are not hard-core research and engineering ideas, but can be summed up as innovative ideas for Apps!

I find this huge because it shows how little people understand the powerful ideas behind efforts in Big Data. The other seven finalists truly merit accolades in the efforts of electrical engineering and medical science. Yet to have three software applications warrant the attention of potential investors as both a viable product and business is Ah-Mazing! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pQluxrbJFsc]

Like OTEC/NELHA out in Kona, it was inspired by an simple science fair project.
Now the OTEC energy idea has grown to become a viable project for Lockheed Martin in China and earned recognition from the International Renewable Energy Agency due to better cost efficiencies from recent innovations in inexpensive and durable materials.

I love the Akabotics concept (without the dredging).
